Nintendo DS is a hand held dual-screen console released in 2004. Playing nintendo ds roms were nearly impossible at first because programmers were having a hard time building an emulator. A nintendo DS emulator is obvious much more complicated then a gameboy advance or nintendo 64 emulator. One decent nintendo ds emulator can be downloaded from ideasemu.org. This one supports a good amount of nintendo ds roms and is less buggy then most other programs.
Nintendo DS ROMs are one of the most popular roms download today. Some popular roms include Pokemon Pearl, Pokemon Diamond, Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Brian Age Games and more. Most of these roms can be downloaded from dashroms.com (they upload to rapidshare) and are playable on the emulator above. NDS ROMs can also be downloaded from torrrent and P2P networks.
As always, be careful when downloading roms and emulators. I'm sure you don't want to get your computer infected with viruses and trojans. Be careful what site you download from! DashRoms.com is a good site and I haven't had any problem downloading their files.

N64 ROMs
Nintendo 64 (N64 for short) was released in 1997 in North America. It was originally priced $199 when first released! Not to long after being released, a few programmers can together and built a nintendo 64 emulator. Then people started to dump there nintendo 64 games on to your computer creating n64 roms and uploading them, making them freely available to download and play on home computers. Better then paying $199, right?
Nintendo 64 emulators are very bugging when first released. It probably took a year or more until a stable n64 emulator was released. Unlike Super Nintendo and NES, these emulators were much harder to create. Now in 2008, you can play just about any n64 rom without a problem. They become popular a few years back because of games like Super Mario 64, Super Smash Brothers, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.
